Growing Turmeric in a pot

I’ve decided to grow tropical plants that have a practical use.

I’ve got a Meyer Lemon Tree, Coffee trees (saplings), a ginger plant and Turmeric.

Here is how to grow your own Turmeric Plant.

I purchased organic Turmieric roots from the closest grocery store (these are in small black net bags).

I put a few of these in some potting soil.

In a VERY short period of time they started to grow!

This is the size after one month!

 

I am very excited to see it flower.

I think I may need to re-pot them soon!

They are in a south facing window.  I water normally.
